Hey everyone, and welcome back to the blog! So you might have noticed that there hasn’t been any posts as of late, and I thought I should share a little about what’s been happening behind the curtain – so to speak.
So if you’ve been around here a while, you’ll know I’m quite open about my struggles with anxiety and depression. Since my breakdown in December, I’ve been trying to get my life back on track. I’m still taking medication, and I’ve been seeing a therapist, and having counselling. I’m still trying to find out who I truly am, but I have a good support system. With these struggles, this means that I have days and weeks where I have no energy and find things hard to process. Blogging and Bookstagram have definitely taken a back seat, and I’m hoping to get back to those things in May.
Linked to my mental health is job struggles, which I’ve also been open about on here. The UK is gradually coming out of lockdown, and I’ve discussed things with the agency and my therapist. I’m taking more time out of work – simply to get healthier in my body and soul. That means I’m still having money struggles, but I’ve still been managing to read – rereads, books I have on my shelves and on my Kindle. I’m always scouring Amazon for Daily Deals, as you can get some bargains. With the lockdown easing, I’m now able to get to town and to the library, so I’m hoping that will help my mental state.
